Description: The 2016 election cycle has been challenging for our community and the nation. Rather than continue down a path of division, avoidance and anger, we seek meaningful ways to connect, understand and collaborate with our fellow citizens, regardless of their political perspectives.
The group is composed of diverse community members with diverse political views. This is not a debate or an opportunity to persuade; this is an opportunity to meet on a human level, listen, and share our own experience, hopes and fears in a safe place.
The group experience has been designed to build safety through connection and learning and practicing a few skills prior to addressing anything political.
This Heart Circle is an opportunity to express ourselves beyond the walls of technology and letters-to-the editor, in an intimate way, as a means to cultivate community healing, and model respectful, compassionate, and authentic discourse.
