Couples Counseling

“When we reveal ourselves to our partner and find that this brings healing rather than harm, we make an important discovery – that intimate relationship can provide a sanctuary from the world of facades, a sacred space where we can be ourselves, as we are …This kind of unmasking – speaking our truth, sharing our inner struggles, and revealing our raw edges – is sacred activity, which allows two souls to meet and touch more deeply.”   ~ John Welwood

The chaos of life can easily create a sense of separation, distance and isolation from the ones we love most.  When stressed, our ability to connect with and communicate our feelings and needs with loved ones becomes limited – which only exacerbates the chasm between partners.

At Next Breath, LLC, we create a safe place to slow down, and connect with the vulnerable emotions that lie beneath the hurt and misunderstanding.  Through experiential engagement, moment-to-moment awareness (of the body, thoughts, feelings), and intimate communication exercises, couples create new awareness around their individual/collective conditioning, patterns, and barriers to intimacy.

The goal of this attachment-based approach is to cultivate a heart-baed connection with the skills and awareness to weather the peaks and valleys of relationship and life.

“You can search throughout the entire universe for someone who is more deserving of your love and affection than you are yourself, and that person is not to be found anywhere.” ~ Buddha
